This/that

VoytaszekAnd what about using the pronouns "it"? Please, help me.

The pronoun "It" can be used almost in the same way; however, as the name says, it is a pronoun, and not a determiner, so it can only act as a pronoun.

It can refer to animals, things and abstract things.

- We went to the party last night, and it was great! - It: the party.

- It is my friend, Spike. - It: a dog.
