You can't find another shop elsewhere that sells electrical good this/that cheaply.

Which is the word that should be used?

Hi Yoong, it's difficult to say. To me, the difference is the same as between "I like this/that", "I don't think this/that is a good idea", etc. It depends on the context, but it mainly depends on your point of view, I think.

It depends on the context, but it mainly depends on your point of view, I think. So both options could be equally good in many situations, I guess

Hey,

I tend to look at it from the point of view of the speaker.

If the speaker is holding the item or it is close to him, use this; vice versa for that

If the speaker and listener are situated somewhere near the shop in question, or inside of it or, indeed, standing before a display in the shop with the prices clearly visible, this will most likely be used.
