'this year' or 'within this year'

1. Could you confirm whether the following sentence is right?


Do you still have no plan to start a new project [ this year / within this year]?


2. If it is right, could you tell me which one is more natural between 'this year' and 'within this year' in the sentence?

"within this year" isn't natural to me here. "this year" is OK (depending on context, could be a calendar year (January to December) or some other kind of year, e.g. school year).

I would more naturally say "no plans to ...".
