This will be the first time she has watched ...

Hi guys, I need your help.

I saw the following sententce from somewhere and wondered why it uses 'present perfect tense' instead of 'present tense' or some other tense if any. The main verb in this sentence is 'will be' which is future tense and I don't think 'future tense' with 'present perfect tense' go along.

Is this sentence completely wrong or did I miss something here? Please enlighten me on this. Thanks in advance.

This will be the first time she has watched from a VIP box.

Thanks for your answer.

However, I don't quite get what you said. Do you mean that the sentence I wrote is OK or I have to put "will" between "she" and "have"?

In other words, which one is correct?

A) This will be the first time she have watched...

B) This will be the first time she will have watched...

I don't think 'future tense' goes together with 'present perfect tense' go along.
Actually, it does. Present, Future, Present Perfect, and Future Perfect go together to form the "Present Point of View".
Past, Conditional ('would'), Past Perfect, and Conditional Perfect ('would have') go together

I have to put "will" between "she" and "have"?
No. Mr. M. was just saying that the meaning is the same with has or with will have. But have alone is wrong, as GG has already said above.
