This way/ In this way. What's the difference

1.Get up before 7. In this way you'll have time for breakfast.
2.Get up before 7. This way you'll have time for breakfast.

a. Is there a difference between these two sentences?
b. Is it adviseable to use a come after "way"?

Thanks!

No. 2 is correct, as you do not need "in."

And, yes, you would use a comma, as in:

This way, you'll have time for breakfast.

This would be in casual speech, by the way, and not something one would put in writing unless one were writing dialogue.

One could also say, "Get up before seven so that you'll have time for breakfast." or,

"If you get up before
