Both "as if she were" and "as if she was" are used. I believe the former version is more common. Some grammarians state the "were" version is correct.

I suppose you wrote this without thinking enough. If you learn some career without reading books you should be doubtful about your proficiency. Writing a book needs a whole and complex process. Hey teechr! I don't think he was trying to be rude. However if I remember correctly, this is his second account. His first account was somewhat downvoted to oblivion, and was probably banned because he was rather tactless. I like to think he's changed, but I'd not be suprised otherwise.
