This riddle has been on my mind, and I cant seem to find the awnser.

A man wakes up and goes to the kitchen to prepare something to eat. He turns on the TV to watch the news. The presenter reports that during the night, and along the coast, there have been several accidents with casualties. Suddenly the man gets up, runs upstairs and turns on a light. Later he kills himself overwhelmed by guilt.
