This or that?

Hello people

I am Plesia and I am new to this forum!! I just discovered it, and I think its great and very very helpful!!!

So, I am a bit confused, since I dont know how to use the words 'this', that', 'these', 'those' correctly in my english...Emotion: embarrassedI know, I know, its basics, but still.....I never understood how to use them in a proper way...

If anyone has the time and would be kind enough to explain it to me, I would very much appreciate it!!!

Thank you a lot, take care everybody!!Emotion: smile

Hi Plesia and welcome to EF You use this (singular) and these (plural) for things near the speaker. You use that (singular) and those (plural) for things further away the speaker. Anyway if you use the "search" tool I'm sure you will find a lot of explanatory examples.
