Depends how many you are talking about. Person - Singular. These types/this type of people -plural.

I don't know if this will be answered(cause the last answer was posted an year ago.)

Q1) My question is.. if we want to put a singular in 'this kind of person,' why we don't put the article a in front of 'person?'

I looked up the dictionary for the word 'person.'

Definiton : a human being as an individual.

Good question, Moon. It's just very common to omit the article after kind/sort of, but if you want to have an article, it isn't wrong. People just usually leave it out.
