This is what my teacher said.

1) Located in South America's Pacific coast, the Galapagos attract many tourists.

2) The Galapagos, located in South America's Pacific coast, attract many tourists.

My English teacher said that 1) and 2) are different in meaning, saying that "As the Galapagos is " is omitted in 1) but "and the Galapagos is" is omitted in 2). However, I disagree with her, so I really would like to hear how you feel about these sentences? I think like what I ever heard from great people here, either one implies the same in meaning but 1) has more stress than 2). What do you think? Thank you so much.
