This is train announcement.

Now we have severe delay because of the heavy snow. During your waiting (on or for ) the train , we suggest you to buy a lunch box for yourself for lunch. Is the answer " on or for " ok for the blank ? Or just only one answer "on" is better? Is the train announcement only broadcast on the train, not on the platform?
