topic: Some people believe that young people know about international pop and movie stars but know very less about famous people from the history in their own country. Why is this? How can more interest be created in young people to gain more knowledge about their own famous people from history?

My essay:

In recent times, young generations have much more interested in foreign music and global actors than their local music and well-known persons in their own history. Although there will undoubtedly be some drawbacks of this trend, it has several measures to tackle these issues.

It stands to reason for people to argue that young people pay more attention to international pop and movie stars. Firstly, social media makes entertainment closer to young genders via Facebook, zalo or magazine. On these media, young people can easily to watch plenty of appealing clips which could make an impression on youngsters and give wings to the spread of fame for these domestic or international talented artists. Secondly, I believe that the value of history subject is often underestimated. Parents always want their children to study Science and Technology because these subjects provide theoretical foundations to either pursue a well-paid job or actively engage.

However, there are various steps that could take to deal with these problems. Firstly, school should arrange a journey to a historical place. In this way, students can be motivated to explore events of ancient times as well as make history subject less theoretical. A second option is produce films about historical characters. This approach bring learning closer to entertainment for lessons to stick more easily. Therefore, investment in the dual product of entertaining and educational movies should be taken into serious consideration.

To sum up, all existing data has provided a concrete foundation that it is necessary for enhancing knowledge of local history for young generations.
