This is my speaking about the topic: Describe your grandparent's job. Please help me check is this speaking OKAY?

Back in the days when my grandpa was still alive, I remember him as a hard farmer. He devoted his life to do to take care of our family. My grandpa who was the person honorable for me.
My grandpa was rice farmers. I think older people in my country used to be farmers because in the past our country relied mostly on agriculture. Our country also went through many wars, which made agriculture even more important as we couldn’t afford food imports. My grandparents were given some plots of land to grow rice on. It is a difficult job. He was young at this time who worked for twenty years on the land near his home. Every day he has very worked hard.
There was every reason to believe that my grandfather loved his profession as much as he loved our family. As far as I remember, my grandfather used to wake up very early in the morning every day to get ready to go to work. He would arrive at home at around 5:00 pm after finishing work at 4:30 pm. When my grandfather died, I was only about 13 years old. But whatever I had learned from him by that age was enough to understand that he cared for his family, and he didn’t want to be a burden on his family members. Besides, my grandfather taught me how to help family, even if it meant doing as little things as putting the glass back to its place. Then I also learned from my grandfather how to be “serious” about my work/profession while also ensuring enough time for my family members. Finally, it was my grandfather who taught me that it is never too late to learn new things if it helped to become better at your profession.
