This is my letter of motivation. I know it needs lot of improvement. Please help me

Please help me and suggest modifications in the presented leter of motivation. I have used simple english words instead of complex ones as I dont usually get those while writing my stuf.. so it'd be great if u can please suggest more suitable words in places too.. Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir,

I have completed my Masters (M.Sc.) in chemistry from xxxxxxxxx in 2010 with medicinal chemistry and biochemistry along with the other core courses like organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. I have always wanted to work on something big for sake of whole humanity and this is why I am inclined to working on science research which can benefit all people. For the mentioned reason I have keen interest in unraveling solutions to various human diseases and understanding complex biological phenomena.

Being a student of chemistry and studying all different sub branches (inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, organic, medicinal, instrumental chemistry) I have gained knowledge in diverse fields, with detailed conceptual knowledge of how molecules (or biomolecules) behave under different sets of conditions. From the very beginning I have always been curious about how things operate around us and what possible ways can be there to improve their working and applying their principals for better methods. This has helped me long way to keep interest in physics and chemistry which now prove to be very helpful in understanding mechanics and dynamics of molecules at their scale.

As I have studied biochemistry course in my M.Sc. with great enthusiasm, I have been able to know about various biological processes like metabolism (glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, TCA cycle etc, Fatty acid oxidation etc) ,Genetics (Recombinant DNA technology, DNA structure and synthesis, information pathways, RNA structure and functions) structural biology related work and various other phenomena. During my M.Sc. I also worked on a major project (duration more than a year) named "Transforming the aggregation prone proteins to be compatible for binding with GroEL (Computational Biology Approach)" which I also continued after completion of course. The project work which I completed under supervision of Dr. T. K. Chaudhuri helped me understand the importance of number of factors which are important while studying behavior of Biomacromolecules. (e.g. hydrophobic interactions, electrostatic interactions, heating effects, effect of pH in protein folding and stability with contrasting character of chaperones mechanism for helping proteins to fold in their native state.)

My goals for pursuing PhD in the mentioned field is mainly due to my curiosity for understanding complex biological world, along with my will for contributing in development of drugs. As for the development of a medicine, the first and foremost important step is to understand the mechanism by which a certain disease progresses in biological system and meanwhile understanding the difference between normal conditions and diseased state. Then only we can be eligible to interfere with the progressing mechanism of a disease. Due to the reason it is extremely important to understand how biomolecules behave in their normal and diseased states and how can they be affected in specific way. As the task is very challenging and fascinating I wish to proceed with the research in the respective area.

My present goal is to gain practical knowledge of molecular biology and understand various tools used for the similar work. Meanwhile I also aim to master different techniques which I can later use for my research in development of medicines and understanding biomolecular mechanisms. As I find your facility in exact accordance of my interests, I am anxious to join the field, and so writing to apply for the eminent PhD program.

Thank you very much for considering my request. I look forward to your positive response.
