In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think it is a positive or negative situation?

To residents in a number of nations, it is vitally crucial to possess their own houses rather than to rent ones. This phenomenon is caused by the fact that people renting a home may not receive as much respect as those who own their own houses . In my opinion, this case would make a positive trend because it not only enables people to enjoy their life greatly but it also develops the national economy.

Nowadays, accommodation is prohibitively expensive and only wealthy residents can have their own homes, while others may have to rent a flat or a house instead. Therefore, with the high level of hierarchy in the society, there is a stereotype that people who can not buy a house are not as talented as the others. In addition, from the very young ages, we have been taught that it is important to possess a house so that we can have ourselves a stable life. Those, especially adults, who can not own a home are considered to have a low income and may not be respected as highly as our colleagues. For instance, in a recent survey, when being asked for the reasons why people want to find and buy a house in Vietnam, 30% of the participants admit that they enjoy the appreciation they have when having their own accommodation. As a result, more and more people spend a great amount of money to possess a house.

There are certain reasons why people have their own houses is a good situation. First, with a house, individuals are able to enjoy their life more thoroughly. The renting fee each month can become a financial burden which may prevent renters from fulfilling their life. They may try too hard to earn a living and pay for the renting money. As a result, these people are more likely to suffer from stress. Second, if residents in countries can have their own houses, GDP of the nations may increase. Government will not have to allocate the national spending in order to tackle the problems of accommodation. Money, instead, can be attributed to develop the technology and the industry.

In conclusion, that people wish for societal appreciation lead to the increase in purchasing a home. Moreover, it will be advantageous for both individuals and nations if residents have their own home, so it is obviously a positive trend.
