This is my first time visiting the city.

This is my first time visiting the city.

This is my first time to visit the city.

I think that the first sentence is correct and natural and then is 'visiting' a gerund or a present participle?

I think that 'visiting the city' functions as a present participle phrase and modify 'my first time'.

What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual in advance.
