This is me vs It's me

Hi

Do both these versions work naturally?

A - Who is it? (on the phone or at the door)

B - Hey, it's me, Tom.

B - Hey, this is me, Tom.

Thanks,

Tom

A - Who is it? (on the phone or at the door)

This does not seem natural to me.

Natural is this.

A - Who is this, please? (on the phone)

(at the door) I'd open it and say 'Hello, Tom'.
