I do hear the here. Could someone verify if it's actually there?
If it is, then is it sort of a mistake of spontaneous speech? Or is it being there natural and grammatical?

You're correct. It should just be "from last month's…" without the "the". People say all sorts of things when they talk fast. He probably wanted
