I want to say that teachers were felicitated at he hands of our chief guest ....or may be i should say by our chief guest?

How if we rewrite it as

The club’s teachers and teachers of schools of partners-in-service were felicitated by the chief guest Dr. Shakuntala Singh, Principal of Joshi-Bedekar College, Thane.
