First, I will talk about the similarities between these two creatures. One of the most obvious similarities between these two animals is that they both have hair. Like dogs, cats are also animals with four legs. Moreover, their legs are very flexible so they can easily move and catch prey. Both of them are very friendly, they adore people and especially children. For example, many people let their cats and dogs take care of their children.

Aside from the similarities, there are also various differences between the two animals. The sounds of dogs and cats are different. Typically you will hear a "meow" or a "purr" from a cat. In contrast, a dog goes woof, bark or howl, the complete opposite of a cat. Dogs are also smarter than cats in verbal training. For example, you may call your dog by name and often it will come to you, unlike a cat. Another very obvious difference between dogs and cats is that dogs are usually bigger than cats.

In conclusion, there are various similarities and differences that dogs and cats. For me, these are the two animals I love because each animal has a unique feature. They are both great pets. In my house, I have both a cat and a dog so from personal experience, I would know.
