Animal extinction is a crucial problem for the whole humanity, because almost thousands or millions of animals are being killed and facing extinction nowadays. Animal extinction is commonly recognized that the last species is dead, which has several negative effects on the natural and economy including an ecological balance, an economic depression and deficient medicine. Animal extinction become extinct for many different reasons which is caused by the changing of climate, the loss of habitat, and invasive species introduced. This is why immediate action needs to be taken to stop adverse elements on animal and protect directly animal out of danger.

One reason for having a concern on animal extinction is climate change. Climate change is an irregular difference in weather patterns found in a place, which could be the usual changing of temperature in a place for a month or season. In recent times, an increasing of the temperature leads to warmer global which affect to animal in different ways. The global warming has affected to Arctic ice which is melted at a faster speed than was anticipated even a few years ago.For example, many Arctic animals such as polar bears, walrus, and seals lose places to live. On the other hand, the going up of temperature also brings about the changing of ecosystem. Some species in ecosystem are being forced out of their habitat or possibly to extinction because of changing conditions. As Stephen Henry Schneider points out, the increasing of the global temperature of around 4 degree Celsius by 2100 would result to major extinctions over the world.

Another reason for having a concern on animal extinction is habitat loss. The loss of habitat, as a result of human need, is generally considered to be the most important reason of animal extinction. Cutting forests for building houses, farms and roads take animals to be lost a place to live. For example, each year, one percent of the world’s tropical forests is destroyed. In additional, that some species die purely while others are pushed into areas where they can’t have food and shelter is caused by human development polluting to animal’s habitat in natural landscape with petroleum products, pesticides, and others chemical. It not only makes one animal to be disappeared by human destroying, but also influences on many other species in food chain, so more than one species’ population to decrease. Richard P. Reading states that when approximately 90% of the habitat is erased, 50% of the species will be vanished. Habitat loss has been generally affected to significant loss of diversity and changing in ecosystem functioning, which leads species to get endangered or threatened.

A further reason for having a concern on animal extinction is introduced invasive species. Invasive species appeared in biodiversity rich areas destroy habitats of endemic species and impact to their secure surviving. Invasive species brings about roughly 42% of endangered or threatened species are at risk mainly. There are many reasons of damaging to animals in wildlife. When new and aggressive species are introduced into ecosystem, they threatened to native animals such as preying on native species. The changing of the food webs in an ecosystem are destroyed by non-native species, which might not give food sources to wildlife. Invasive species can modify a wealth and diversity of species that are crucial habitat for native wildlife, which leads to the decreasing of biodiversity. Non-native species can break the conditions in an ecosystem such as soil chemistry changed or the intensity of wildfires For example, Asian carp which has a catchall of silver, bighead and black are fast-growing fish that destroy food and habitat of native fishes. For instance, the European red foxes are introduced to Australia for the hunting sport, and this predator take many native animals to extinct nearly.
