The maps below show changes in the Spanish city of Castellon in recent times.

The given maps illustrate the development of the Spanish city of Castellon between 2000 and these days.

Overall, it can be clearly seen that this city in Castellon has now been commercialized and urbanized with some facilities recently constructed.

The most noticeable change is that from 2000 to nowadays, the city center has become a place for hiring bikes and some amenities have been built. Northeast of the center of the city, trees were cut down to make way for a new shopping plaza. Next to the shopping area, there has been an airport which is being constructed and a new market which has been added. Meanwhile to the south of the city center, a new mall has been opened up and a train station was transformed into a police one. There has been the construction of a new train station next to the police station and a dormitory next to a university until now.

South of the city center, a road for vehicles such as cars is now turning into the road for pedestrians. There have been recreational facilities which include a cinema and clubs opened up along the beach.
