This is a very special and beautiful day to be here

"I'm sure that the benefits to Koreans and New Zealanders will be significant over the years ahead and this is a very special and beautiful day to be in Seoul."

I think that this should change to it for the correct grammar or it is okay to use this as an impersonal subject like it? Or to be in Seoul is not a subject here and then what does it function as?

Thank you so much as usual in advance!

Hans51 I think that this should change to it for the correct grammar I see no reason to do that. Hans51 to be in Seoul is not a subject here and then what does it function as? A complement of 'day', I would think.
