This couldn't possibly be correct, right?

A couple of days ago, an editor friend at work edited my translation and turned a sentence from "...but those who lay down their lives for His road and turn to him with all their beings are never forgotten" to "...but those who lay down their lives for His road and turn to him with all their beings are never been forgotten." When I saw that, I knew immediately that the change was erroneous but when I looked it up in Google it came up with 83.100.000 results! How come? Is everything I have known a lie? I'd really appreciate some clarification to this.
