Does "this" reffer to the antiviral properties? I ask because they used "this and not these" that's why I'm confused...

People with low immunity are easily prone to viral infections like Gonorrhoea and Herpes. The antiviral properties of Guyabano work effectively on these viruses. Also, this prevents it from spreading rapidly.
