Thirty years from now, people will/would be laughing at the technology we're proud of today.

Hi

Is this sentence natural? Should I use "will" or "would"?

Thirty years from now, people will/would be laughing at the technology we're proud of today.

Thanks,

Tom

The sentence is fine with will. (Don't use would.)

I suggest you revise the uses of the modals 'would' and 'will.' This will clear things up for you.

'would' is used to show habits in the past, it is the past tense of 'will', and it forms the second and third conditional.
