Think/thinking

-Can you guess what I am thinking?
-Can you guess what I think?

The first one sounds better to me but I don't know why. Could someone give me a reason?

Well, the first one is talking about what thought is in your head at the moment that you're asking them to guess what you're thinking. The second one applies more to what your views are on a particular subject or situation. " [hehe, a two-for-one, see the "Sanctions" thread] I hope that helps, Maj.

Well, the first one is talking about what thought is in your head at the moment that you're asking them to guess what you're thinking.

The second one applies more to what your views are on a particular subject or situation. Like, "What do you think about the sanctions that may be imposed on Sudan." [hehe, a two-for-one, see the "Sanctions" thread]

I hope that helps, Maj.
