Hi

Is this a natural expression?

Think quality. Don't cut corners.

Thanks,

I'm wondering if don't cut corners is used metaphorically here or if it's just something related to that particular context (maybe they are talking about something that has to be cut out)

No.
cut corners is a common, fixed expression. If you cut corners, it means that you do not do something thoroughly, carefully and completely. The result is a poor-quality product.
That's clearly the intended meaning here.
