Think it necessary-- transitive verbs, dummy pronouns

Why is there no 'is' requireed?

I know it's something to do with dummy it and/or tr. vs intr. verbs

Think it strange/necessary that...

I think that there are a number of verbs with these object complements:

to think (something) + adjective
to consider (something) + adjective
to call (something) + adjective
to label (something) + adjective
etc.
