Think carefully about what you say or think carefully about what you will say ?

I read a sentence.
"Think carefully about what you say. If you say the wrong thing ,hundreds of people will lose the job."
Why the sentence use "what you say". obviously it pointes to the future.
Can I change it "think carefully about what you will say " ?

Thanks

You must use your common sense with English as with all languages. It means 'choose your words carefully'.

Their jobs would make more sense than "the job".
