Things about someone that I like

Hello,

Does the underlined part of the sentence sound odd to you?

- I've only known him for a couple of weeks but there are so many things about him that I like.

I believe that "there are many things that I like about him" would sound better, but I am not sure if the other version sounds alien.

Thank you.
