Thing +adjective

On a stock market app, I just came across this comment "the only thing high is the price". It is a reply to this comment "this is a ridiculously high price. Sell hard".

By the way, I haven't learnt that "thing" can be followed by an adjective like that, but only these words "something", "anything", "everything", "nothing".

For example, nothing can be followed by an adjective like in "There is nothing special"

So "thing" can be followed (modified) by an adjective like that?

If so, could you make an example and explain when it's possible?

I guess it's possible only when there is a word modifying "thing" in front of it.

I have already looked it up in a dictionary, but couldn't find any information about it.

It's the word "only" that sanctions the post-modifying adjective. That means "the only thing", "the only person", and other combinations of "the only" plus a noun will work the same way. The only thing slow about him is his brain.
