Thiis is my cover letter for internship help me out

Sir,

I am presently pursuing b-tech in civil engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal in Vth semester.

Whenever I switch off the bulbs or fans which lighting any way, my friends say leave it man its government property, I reply them with a smile its for my coming generation. I have got a simple formula, if I saved 50 watts daily then in one year I can save 50 watts for 365 persons for one day use. While I was practicing for my JEE I was not really knowing why I want to do engineering. In schools we were taught about global warming and its impact on the environment. My school teachers always told us that you all are the future of our country and each step you are doing then will add to thousand steps in future. I always wonder how this is possible. I started thinking how I can help India GO GREEN. Once in the local newspaper I came across one article about green buildings and how it can in this regard. I just went through that casually. The main theme of our tech fest (ENGINNER) previous year was green engineer and there were some presentations on GREEN BUILDING by the students. The presentations inspired me to think in this regard and I googled green building and read many articles which inspired me further. When I was training at NHAI in my home town Ranchi, the project director told us about the norms for the environment during laying of road and how sustainable construction is going to be future of all constructions. These all stuffs have inspired me a lot to learn about green buildings.

I don’t have really something to boast about in my academic...all I have is AIR 7944 in IIT JEE 2009, AIR 7100 in AIEEE and an average CG of 7. I wish to work as an intern in your green building project in this summer during May-June. Hope to hear from you soon.
