Hi, The other night, a friend of mine asked why I didn't bring my kids with me to a mormon church to practice speaking English. I told him, "They're almost grown up so they don't like to go out with me." Did I say it right when my kids are about nineteen and eighteen? Thanks.

I wouldn't say almost grown up : 18 and 19 are adult ages, as far as I'm concerned. They're grown up now, so they don't like to go out with me.
