They would want to do

Setting my martini down, I got up and took the the seat in front of the two ladies. I turned the chair to face them, no doubt that they would want to marvel at my perfection.

I'd like to know what "someone would want to do" means.

I would paraphrase it somewhat like this:

I turned the chair to face them, (with) no doubt (in my mind) that they (were, as I imagined it, the sort of ladies who) were going to want to marvel at my perfection.
