They Those

Hi , I have just started teaching some 12-year-old children .

I want to know if there is any difference between the words those and '' they''.

Can they and those always be used interchangeably ?

They is a plural form of pronouns "He and She" but " Those" is a plural form of " It "

We interchange They with Those when talking about persons. but we can't use They in place of Those when talking about things e.g

Those boys are friend = They are friend.
