Some part of the given sentence is underlined.Four choices for rephrasing the underlined part follow each sentence.Please tell me which option is grammatically correct and effective.

For many travellers,charter vacations often turn out to cost considerably more than they originally seemed.

It's a test question. One of the options has to be "more gramatically correct" than the others. I am not able to make out which one is the most suitable answer. Please help.
