they or those?

I believe I honor the lives of those whom are gone by enjoying the commemorations created by those who are left behind. they or those? in either place... and why? who or whom?

At any rate, strictly speaking, the pronoun those should be used only when it has an antecedent, e.g., people, so say people. Also, it's who, not whom.
