"They are the almost same."

Can I also say and write, "They are the almost same."? So is it possible that any adverb is placed right in front of 'same' or it should be , "They are almost the same." and then almost modifies are or same there? Thank you so much and take good care.

" Well, "They almost are the same" would not be incorrect. But "They are the almost same" is impossible. " They are really the same.

The order must be, "They are almost the same."

Well, "They almost are the same" would not be incorrect.

But "They are the almost same" is impossible.

However, we say "They are the very same!", and we may not say "They are very the same."

They are really

Thank you so much and because of this we say "They are the very same!", and we may not say "They are very the same."They are really the same. NOT They are the really same., should not we say that almost does not modify the same, but it does are, should we? Or is it possible that adverbs modify the + adjectives or just adjective
