There are Christmas holidays at the moment. Most of the people are not working now because they took a few days off to celebrate Christmas and to rest from their jobs.

layla1234 There are Christmas holidays at the moment. Most of the people are not working now because they took a few days off to celebrate Christmas and to rest from their jobs."at the moment" is OK, but I would write the first sentence as "It's the Christmas holiday season."
Also, I would write "Most people" instead of "Most of the people".
