They are a part of more of me than my life?

I was told to say something about my friends and I used the following line-

They are more of a part of me than a part of my life.

Could I rewrite the sentence as-

They are a part of more of me than my life?

I actually intend to use 'a part of' once and as common to both 'me' & 'my life'.
