Thesis help
I am working on a persuasive essay and I am having trouble getting my thesis to sound persuasive. Here is what I have come up with topic wise (we have to state 3 topics in our theseis).
Andrea Yates was found not guilty by insanity because of her past history with depression, issues with medication, and her mental state at the time of the murder.

Welcome to the forums.
It doesn't sound persuasive because you're not making any type of argument - you're only stating facts. A persusaive type of start would be "Justice was served when Andrea Yates was found not guilty..." or somthing else that shows your opinion.
