People have manners. This means that they are nice and polite when dealing with other people.
People have cell phones, too. They can call other people.

If a person leaves their cell phone at home, they can't call anyone.
If a person leaves their manners in the airport building (the terminal) when they get on a plane, then they are not polite and nice to the other people on the airplane. .
