These experiences ?

Hello~, I don't understand why the phrase "these experiences" is used here and what it refers to.

Would you look at this and comment some if any? Any idea would be welcomed.

Thank you~!

The plethora of research studies in the field of embodied cognition concluded that comprehension of language is not solely performed by the prefrontal cortex. In these research studies, subconscious and unconscious
sensory and motor circuits do not merely feed signals to the cortex for comprehension; these experiences perform a level of cognition independently. Many things take place in other regions of the brain and body
simultaneously that shape language comprehension. Language comprehension is altered before the cortex can form an opinion by subconscious and unconscious automated body responses. Research shows that automated
body responses provide ongoing meaning to written and verbal communication. Researchers perceive these body responses as automated because viewing facial expressions triggers similar expressions on one’s own face, even in the absence of conscious recognition. Similarly, studies indicate that limiting any automated body movement lowers cognitive capacity to comprehend written or spoken language because it changes the experience.
