These days more fathers stay at home and take care of their children while mothers go out for work. What could be the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or a negative development?

Nowadays, it is increasingly common that numerous fathers tend to be househusbands meanwhile wives are breadwinners. This trend could be attributable to some reasons, and in my opinion, this trend is able to gain some essential advantages.

In the modern period, the husbands have to work overtime all days per month. From there, the wives tend to take the breadwinner position in family while the husbands leave their job and look after the children at home. For example, a husband feels exhausted after working under pressure for a long time, and he want to relax. If he lived in the past decade, he would have no choice to leave the job in an attempt to let off some steams, but in the modern world, he can easily balance his time to relax while he takes care of the children at home because his wife will earn money instead him.

In my view, the change described above can be considered as a good development. The world has launched many educational programs to public that make the society has awareness of right of the women for a long time. There will be any presence of gender discrimination. If this trend became more common, it would be a good signal for the women who suffer unfair situations. For example, when they are no longer responsible for taking care of the children, and they are able to pursuit their career goals instead of staying at home all the time in order to take care of the kids. As a result, the women can show their ability of working as well as men.

In conclusion, the change of role between the male and the female can be attributed to the development of society, and I think this trend can be seen as a positive progress.
