These days, many people have their own computer and telephone, so it is quite easy for them to do their job at home. Does working at home have more advantages or more disadvantages?

Nowadays, working at home is very popular in the world because of the development of technology. In reality, working at home has both merits and drawbacks but I do not support working at home for several reasons which I will elaborate below.

On the one hand, working at home is an excellent method to save time and money because people do not go to their office or company, they can save travel time and money for fuel. Furthermore, when they work at home, they will feel comfortable so they can work in high spirits.Working at home does not mean that you have to work alone because technology is very developed so you can use many platforms to work with your colleague. For instance zoom meeting, google meet, teams.

On the other hand, there are many negative points when they work at home. First of all, working at home can be affected by many factors. For example, their neighbours , their friends and even their family can go to your home or make noise that will impact their work. Secondly, they have to control their work time and their rest time because they must complete their work before a certain time. When they work at their office they will get a schedule including rest time and work time but when they work at home they have to do it. Thirdly, one possible drawback of working from home is that it does not develop a person’s team skills.In other words, sometimes a business issue can only be solved through teamwork and this is not possible when all employees work from home.

In conclusion, although there are several advantages to working from home, this culture does not allow people to develop their interpersonal and team skills.
