Dear all Teachers,

1) - I ended up going by myself because she was busy.

- What does" ended up" mean in this sentence?

2a) - I rarely go to movies alone these days.

2b) - I rarely go to the cinema on my own these days.

- Are these ok to say? and do they have the same meaning?

3a) - What part of Britain are you from/do you come from?

3b) - Where are you from/ do you come from in Britain?

- Are these ok to say? and do they have the same meaning?

4a) - I'm going to go overseas next month.

- Which sentence is right?

1-- Ended u p = finally did. I had originally planned to go with her, but she was busy, so in the end I had to go alon e. 2-- These carry essentially the same meaning and are both OK.
