thesaurus book, need help!

I'm looking for a book where the whole english thesaurus is listed and assorted by subjects (topics).

We have such a book in german but i never heard about something like that in englisch.

I have seen many thesaurus-dictionarys but they are sorted by alphabet and not by subjects.

many thanks, viki.

Roget's Thesaurus as originally published was organized by topics or concepts, but later editions were put into 'dictionary form'. If you search for a used copy, you may find the style you are looking for.
