There's nothing you can do with a person in trance that you can't do with a person out of trance

One of the big advantages of hypnosis is that people's responses are amplified and slowed down. There's nothing you can do with a person in trance that you can't do with a person out of trance, as far as I know. I'm able to induce every deep trance phenomenon in the waking state.

Hello, could anyone rephrase the sentence in blue? I mean to make that two simple sentences. What can "you" do in trance, and what can't you do out of trance? What does "that" in red modify ?

Thanks!

It's not easy to re-phrase as two simple sentences without really altering it. You can only make people in a trance do things they would normally do. Being in a trance makes no difference.
