“there's no way I'm telling you about her show” vs “there's no way I tell you about her show”

I read first sentence in a book but it sounded weird to me !

Would second sentence be considered as an alternative to first sentence ?

“There's no way I'm telling you about her show.” vs

“There's no way I tell you about her show.”

1. I'm telling you = informal, casual manner or saying "I'm going to tell you."

The second is not natural English.

“There's no way I will tell you about her show.” (This is too stilted and formal for the context.)
